As a leadership consultant and social entrepreneur, Melissa's practice areas include strategic planning and project management of operations, marketing, and events. Her consulting focuses on balancing the art & science of life-centered local business. She teaches smart and steady strategies, creates custom systems and leverages technology to ensure client success. Melissa wholeheartedly works to build liberatory, ethical, and sustainable legacies for the people and organizations she serves.

Melissa is an ambivert, omnivore (with vegetarian tendencies), and lifelong learner (aka: bookworm). 

Her background includes more than a decade of professional and volunteer experience in nonprofit professional trade association management. She has successfully produced and directed educational conferences/conventions and meetings for five to several thousand attendees, as well as serving in teams that planned events for upwards of thirty thousand people. She is well-versed in operations management, multi-channel marketing campaigns, exhibit/trade shows, strategic partnerships, governance structures, and various business/membership models.  

After more than twenty years in the professional workforce, and in the midst of the COVID-19 global pandemic, Melissa returned to school. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from University of the Pacific in 2023.
